Vammivattavan (Arivagam) Education Centre

In rural areas of Sri Lanka, access to quality education and cultural activities is often limited. However, thanks to the generosity of donors from the United Kingdom and Canada, a significant transformation has taken place in the village of Vammivattvan. The construction of a new education center has not only improved educational programs but has also provided a space for cultural activities. With a total cost of 1.2 million Sri Lankan rupees, this project has brought hope and opportunity to the local community.

The new building, funded by generous donors, has replaced the old wooden structure, creating a safe and conducive learning environment. The improved infrastructure is not only beneficial for educational purposes but also allows the center to host cultural activities, fostering a sense of community and promoting local traditions.

Enhancing Educational Programs:
With the completion of the new education center, the village of Vammivattvan has gained access to enhanced educational programs.

Promoting Cultural Activities:
In addition to its educational role, the new education center has become a hub for cultural activities in the village. The versatile space will allow various cultural workshops. These activities not only preserve the local heritage but also provide a platform for the community members to showcase their talents and strengthen their cultural identity.

Community Impact:

It has not only empowered the local community by providing access to education and cultural activities but has also created a sense of pride and ownership.
