In the remote village of New Valathapitty, in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka, “Our Society” has undertaken a meaningful project to support the local students. A key aspect of our initiative is the establishment of a refurbished Education Centre, providing an improved space for learning in this remote community.
Some Happy Beneficiaries of our project
With the completion of the new education centre, the village of New Valathapitty has gained access to enhanced educational programs.
The Education Centre has become a hub of activity in the village, particularly during evening classes. Here, young people gather to meet, learn, and exchange knowledge and ideas, all with the goal of shaping a better future for themselves. It serves as a welcoming space for educational pursuits, fostering a sense of community among the students.
To further enhance the educational experience, “Our Society” also extends financial support to volunteer teachers in New Valathapitty. This ensures that the students have access to quality education and mentorship. As a result, the students in the village express their happiness and gratitude for the positive impact that “Our Society” has had on their educational journey.
