Our 33rd Community Medical Camp Brings Health and Hope to Palchenai.
Our Society successfully conducted its 33rd Community Medical Camp on Saturday, 22nd February 2025, at the Palchenai Tamil Maha Vidyalaya. The event was a remarkable success, with over 700 people from the community attending and benefiting from the services offered. We remain committed to working closely with the local Medical Authority to improve the health, safety, and well-being of our community. This camp was a true reflection of that commitment.
Comprehensive Health Screenings
A total of 506 individuals underwent tests for various health issues. During these check-ups, doctors identified suspected cases of high blood pressure, diabetes, and breast cancer. We immediately made arrangements for these individuals to undergo further tests to ensure they receive the proper care. Free medicines were also distributed to those in need.
Caring for Your Eye Sight
In a special eye care camp, more than 400 people had their vision tested. Cataract was detected in 50 patients, and we have made the necessary arrangements for them to undergo surgery. Furthermore, 132 people were provided with free reading glasses to help them see better.
Promoting Oral Health
Oral health was another key focus. A tooth brushing awareness event was held to teach good hygiene habits, especially to the younger generation. More than 50 children attended this session and received new toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Advice on Land and Property
Under legal and communal services we invited Retired Land Commissioner Gurunathan to the camp. He generously offered his expertise, providing advice on land and property-related issues to over 15 participants. Discussions over education and attendance were as well discussed.
