Primary Education Project (PEP)

Primary Education Project ((PEP) – Help provided by Our Society; Ensuring Equal Opportunities for All.

In today’s society, equal opportunities in education are crucial for the overall development and success of every child. However, not all children have access to the same resources and support systems, leading to disparities in their educational journey. Our Society recognises this issue and is committed to bridging the gap by providing primary education help to those in need.

Equal Opportunities to Slow Learners and Remote area Students.

One group of students who often face challenges in their academic pursuits are slow learners. These children may have not received proper education in earlier years or have difficulty grasping concepts at the same pace as other students. Our Society believes in giving these students the extra help they need to thrive. We offer guidance and encouragement to both the students and their families, creating a supportive environment to learning.

These remote villages often receive less attention from educational authorities due to financial constraints and lack of officials. Our Society takes it upon itself to assess the needs of these villages and provide the necessary support. We actively seek out volunteer teachers who are willing to educate children in these remote areas. These remarkable individuals are not only compensated for their expenses but are also given additional incentives for their efforts. Currently, we are proud to have 122 dedicated volunteer teachers working in needy village schools in remote areas.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the donors and individuals working tirelessly in Sri Lanka to improve the educational infrastructure. With your support, we have been able to initiate projects aimed at enhancing the learning environment in schools. We started by addressing basic needs such as improving the roofs and floors of schools. However, our commitment goes beyond that. We are now actively involved in constructing and furnishing classrooms and common spaces, creating a pleasant learning environments for students.
