In Vaharai, Sri Lanka, Our Society UK has actively supported local schools, providing essential assistance to improve their functionality. A significant part of our efforts has been directed towards enhancing the school environment through diligent maintenance initiatives.
Vaharai is situated between Valaichenai and Trincomalle; we could say it is a remote area, hence needs more attention.
Vaharai Education Centre – Old
The central focus of our project in Vaharai is the construction of the “Vaharai Arivagam” Education Centre. This new building serves the dual purpose of benefitting local students and contributing to the overall welfare of the community. The project was officially inaugurated on the 11th of November 2023, with the presence of community members, local students, and Our Society personnel.

Through this project, we aim to provide a functional and conducive space for learning, catering to the immediate needs of the local community. The inauguration event was a moment of acknowledgment and collaboration, underscoring our shared dedication to educational advancement in Vaharai.
