This month of October 2025 marks a remarkable milestone, the 10th anniversary of Our Society, which was inaugurated on 18th October 2015 by a dedicated group of volunteers with a shared vision to uplift the socio-economic, educational, and health conditions of our communities in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.Over the past decade, Our Society has grown from a small volunteer initiative into a respected community organisation, continuously striving to create positive and lasting change. Through our collective efforts, partnerships, and the unwavering support of our members, we have made significant progress in empowering individuals and improving lives.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of our social organization, our 32nd community medical camp was held today successfully as a Health Camp at Thikkodai/Ganesha Vidyalaya. During this camp more than 750 people benefited in various ways.
Our heartiest congratulations to all participants and we thank the professionals, Regional Directorate of Health Services and most of all the Our Society Australia for having sponsored this important event.
The Medical Camp lasted over 6 hours benefitingover 750 people in need, particularly children and women. We distributed free medicaments prescribed by doctors.
The Medical Camp was conducted under the oversight and coordination of the Regional Directorate of Health Services. Activities like this organised by Our Society helps build a healthy and knowldgeful society: we are proud of what we do with the help of our ex-pats
